Object of the Verb

Don't tell me you don't want them to look.
You are painted, you have primped.
Don't tell me you don't want to be noticed.
You have etched a garter on your thigh.
In ink below the flesh, visible even now.
An object is a part of speech.
You can be the subject if you like.
All you need do is take the verb in hand.
