The day began like all the others had. Still, these days were different. Laura worked at developing a new habit. The effort great, she dressed for an autumn’s morning and went out to run. With iPod beating to each step, she pushed on through another day. Laura felt a new pain in each day too and ran on despite that knowing this pain would transform the other, in time.
This is my first 69er. A short-short story in exactly sixty-nine words. It came easily in nearly this form. Little editing or shaping was required. I only recently encountered the form.
