I find it interesting to note that these are the words of a prominent urbanite in the preeminent city of his day. These are not the words of the autistic, the hermit or even the farmer, the goatherd. This great minds takes for granted as innate a learned skill. I grant that this is a skill toward which most humans are inclined to easily learn. Or is he right, thus societies view of the schizophrenic as either beast or divinely inspired?
